We really did it. Hard to believe we actually hit the road and we’re still pinching ourselves. So much planning, packing and preparation went into this and I think we’re still in shock.

The spare tire controversy has been widely discussed on forums all over the web and we read many of them to help with our decision to eliminate hauling one around.
This is a work in progress. We just received the GSM-C Wireless Cellular Home Security Alarm System from Mike at Fortress Security. He was kind enough to send it out to us for evaluation and see how well it will perform in an RV setting. Stay tuned as we begin the installation and testing process.
After several months of shopping for the perfect tow car to handle four wheels down we were lucky enough to find just what we needed. We opted for a 2006 Saturn VUE
The exterior of our coach was in overall really good shape, but the faded gray front bumper and grill stood out like a sore thumb!! Oddly enough, when we started looking at other Holiday Rambler Admirals in that same year on the internet the front bumper was faded on all of them.

Ah, the first time out. Did we go to some fancy RV Resort, a State Park, a secluded lakefront view?? Nope, we visited my parents in Bigelow, Minnesota.
