Colorado Xscapers Convergence

One of the things on our bucket list was to attend the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico and when it was announced there was going to be an Xscapers Convergence in Colorado just ahead of the fiesta we thought, why not!

Lime Lake Near Avoca MN

Sometimes you just need to make a break for it and it’s time to just chill out. We had plans to visit my parents in Bigelow, MN and we always take the same route. This time we decided to veer off course, take a night (or two) and find a place to hide out.

The Good, Bad and Bumpy

It all started off so great. We were pretty excited to head out to Rapid City to see Rod’s oldest granddaughter Bergan get married. Rod’s daughter Angie and her husband Kevin got us into a great site at Hart Ranch just outside of town. (Thank you again!!!)

Around The Yuma, AZ Area

Through an introduction by Chris & Cherie of Technomadia on Facebook we were contacted by Michael Hargis, once a touring musician himself. Now he and his lovely wife Christi are the managers at Sans End RV Park in Winterhaven, CA. We were asked to play for their Leap Year Party and we were more than happy to oblige.

Salton Sea & Slab City

As we made our way from Desert Hot Springs to Winterhaven, CA this was a stop that was on our list of things to see. Back in the 1960’s this was once a booming resort area and a haven for fisherman and boaters.

When a Week Becomes a Month

The original plan was to leave Quartzsite and head to a week of some relaxation, full hookups, long hot showers and mineral tub soaks at Sam’s Family Spa in Desert Hot Springs, California.

Quartzsite, Arizona

This was one of the few planned stops we chose to do before we even left South Dakota for a few reasons. Quartzsite is home to the Sports, Vacation and RV Show and is considered the largest gathering of RVers in the World.

Concert at Quartzsite

Hard to believe almost a month has gone by since this awesome night in Quartzsite, AZ. Here’s our video recap, hope you enjoy!

Scenic Route 89, Congress to Prescott

Take a quick ride on the scenic route 89 from Congress, AZ to Prescott, AZ and back. We squeezed 3 hours into 3 minutes as we went from desert to snow covered mountains.

Irony In The Desert

While reviewing some of the pictures of our performance in Quartzite I was struck by an overwhelming feeling. I’m following in my grandfather’s footsteps, just in a more modern way!
